Turret Project Engineer
Job description
Liaise point between the vendor and the Manager/Lead in charge.
Follow up on different engineering packages with the vendor.
To coordinate with the vendor so that the package arrives in the shipyard/other in the stipulated time. To provide assistance to the vendor to resolve issues during the fabrication – for example technical issues (with the help of engineering), class issues with ABS etc.
To act as an interface between construction/yard team and engineering in resolving technical and installation issues.
To prepare material requisitions & Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for packages to be purchased.
To act as a representative of the engineering team and be physically present at the yard/ installation site during the installation time.
To coordinate with the vendor and the shipyard for the installation & commissioning of the package in the vessel.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience as a package/ project engineer in offshore marine/ Oil & Gas industry with good understanding of related Class rules and standards.
Degree in Engineering discipline.
Good verbal & written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Good problem solving skills.

Lead Structural Engineer

Job description
Provide leadership and be accountable for the design and engineering work.
Responsible for proactive technical performance and supervision of the design team during the engineering phase (in KL/Singapore) and provide engineering support during Commissioning, Start UP and Operations phase (off Aberdeen/London).
Accountable for all technical matters as part of the safety case regime to meet Client/Company Standards, Class (DNV) requirements) and International Codes & Standards; also to ensure that Safety Critical Elements are correctly identified and properly maintained during design, including technical review of any proposed changes to the SCEs; and further during the operations phase of the FPSO project.
Review and Approve SCE Standard of Performance and Provide technical input to reviews by Health & Safety Executive. Technical review of IVB input and resolution of verification issues.
Liaise with internal and external specialists and networks to gain and share knowledge, thus facilitating the import and export of good practices and experience.
Provide technical expertise during procurement of goods and services to ensure compliance with Project Standards and adoption of best practices especially related to UKCS requirements.
Ensure full life cycle technical integrity issues are considered throughout the Project life.
Support development of Performance Standards and written schemes of verification of safety critical equipment, also to liaise with UK H &SE as required.
Provide technical advice on issues resulting from the management of change processes through independent assessment of the risks/opportunities afforded by the proposed changes, review of the key documents and facilitate technical arbitration with a view of compliance with statutory, class and functional requirements.
Actively participate in relevant technical discussions, meetings and reviews and shall champion the effective dissemination of “lessons learned” outcomes with the Project team, including Contractors & Suppliers.
Desired Skills and Experience
Possess BE or BTech Degree from a reputed University, CEng Registration and Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer Certification is required.
Minimum of 15 years’ design experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry, FPSO/Floater experience. Preferably working on UKCS Projects and have a thorough understanding of UKCS Safety Case regime.
Well versed with compliance/ alignment with SCR05 and UKCS Statutory Provisions.
Good knowledge in Design Reviews, Hazops, Hazids, SILs, QRA/Safety Case studies.
