(Senior) Instrument Engineer-Closing date : 17 August 2014

Responsibilities:
Job Summary

  • To analyze and prepare specifications and construction drawings, etc. design documents for process and industrial plants in accordance with project specification schedule and customer requirements. 
Duties & Responsiblities
  • To provide technical advice/information on his field of specialization.
  • Assists in the review of construction drawings and design documents of his      specialized field prepared by other engineers to check conformance to design   philosophy, dimensions, elevations, design conditions, design criteria and         specifications prior to issuance to client
  • Knowledge of DCS, ESD, FGS, MMS and Analyzer system design and able to    conduct FAT at vendor’s workshop and SAT at site.
  • Acts as Technical Auditor and Project Quality Assurance Manager for both IDC and      NIDC projects.
  • Prepares project technical proposals and cost estimates.
  • Prepares and executes training in instrumentation of colleagues in the department.
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned by superiors. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering except Civil, Industrial and Management Engineering.
  • 3- 5 years experience in instrument engineering design and construction.
  • Good interpersonal and communication. 




Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer-Closing date : 6 September 2014

Reporting to the Electrical Department Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of key electrical engineering documents (Key Single Line Diagrams, electrical conceptual layouts, substation layouts, grounding and fire alarm system diagrams), electrical design philosophy/basis, system study, major electrical equipment specification/data sheets, estimation basis, Invitation of Bid (ITB) documents, technical evaluation, coordination and vendor data review of major substation equipment. Acts as Key person or Assistant Key person of medium to large sized electrical engineering projects (more than 5,000 engineering manhours).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Principal
  • Occasionally establish and prepare basis of design and/or estimation and design philosophy and requirements prior to execution of electrical detailed engineering works.
  • Occasionally perform electrical system studies including value engineering to determine most cost effective design but still conforms to Client requirements.
  • Normally prepare key electrical engineering documents like Key Single Line Diagrams, Conceptual Layouts, Substation Layouts and, system diagrams for Fire Alarm and Communication Systems in accordance with Client and Project requirements to facilitate the execution of electrical detailed engineering works.
  • Normally prepare specifications, data sheets, requisitions, technical evaluation reports and vendor data review of major substation electrical equipment in accordance with Client and project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
  • Normally establish estimation basis and prepare technical proposals for proposal projects in accordance with Client requirements and acceptable estimation and engineering practices.
  • Normally coordinate with other discipline, vendors and/or sub-contractors to ensure conformity with project and Client requirements.
  • Normally act as Key person of medium to large sized standard projects, exceeding 5,000 electrical engineering manhours.

Secondary
  • Assist in implementation of Department training programs by functioning as a “trainer", ensuring the transfer of knowledge for improvement in work execution and the participation, involvement and cooperativeness of department colleagues in complying with training policies and guidelines.
  • Advise Electrical Engineers with less experience on execution of electrical engineering works based on his/her knowledge and experiences.
  • Support major phase of construction work, can assume responsibility as the Electrical Site Superintendent, Electrical QA/QC in charge, and Lead Field Engineer. Act as the home base Lead Support Engineer when the major phase of the project has been shifted to site, such as purchasing of additional major equipment / materials, coordinate / expedite vendors for the immediate supply of material exceptions, resolving major engineering conflicts within the approved specifications.
  • Participate in site survey/ investigation of existing facilities to clarify feasibility of the design.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests of electrical equipment to confirm suitability of equipment and ensure that the equipment is manufactured according to the agreed specifications.
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned by superiors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 9 years and above experience in electrical detailed engineering works of Oil & Gas, petrochemical and other related industrial plants, including two (2) years in front end engineering and proposal / estimation works and additional three (3) years in field engineering works.
Skill Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills, AutoCAD and/or Microstation and common electrical calculation software.
  • Familiar with local and international electrical codes, standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in the design of electrical systems for oil/petroleum industries.
  • Familiar with ETAP and e-DPP software.

Senior Project Controller (2 Years Contract)-Closing date : 31 August 2014

Job Summary

  • Responsible to coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction personnel to arrive at planning schedules for multi discipline projects and plant modifications in various stages of development by implementing advanced planning and scheduling techniques. Also to monitor and control Project cost using detailed cost estimate to measure progress and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Project groups to review the scope of work in terms of deliverables to be submitted to the client, to finalize schedules to be met, and utilize resources required as per contract.
  • Perform schedule monitoring and updating of project schedule, preparation of periodic Progress Reports with commitments & forecasts.
  • Apply pro-active approach to identify schedule deviations and propose/recommend corrective action/ work around solutions to ensure project progress.
  • Establish Pre-commissioning/Commissioning Schedules and review of work progress.
  • Collect and evaluate data required to monitor project schedules, progress measurement and to prepare cost reports.
  • Constantly monitoring the working budget, forecasting the final cost to complete for each category of work and managing change control.
  • Prepare cost reports, MH reports, perform cost analysis, and recommend corrective actions and follow-up. 
  • Analyse Subcontractor’s progress report, identify and highlight schedule deviations and delay.
Requirements:
  • Degree with extensive Project Control experience (8 years and above) on major projects working in a Contractor Environment is preferable.
  • Excellence in Microsoft Excel and Primavera version 6 applications
  • Familiar with standard software programs, developing S-Curve Schedule, bar-charts and manpower histogram. 
Skill Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with EPCm contractors. South East Asia experience on similar projects would be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size projects.
  • Possesses wide and diversified knowledge of project control system, scheduling and costing techniques in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.
  • Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.
  • Shall be fully conversant with the use of PC’s and appropriate software applications.
  • Candidate with some knowledge in Quantity Surveying will be preferred.
