Asian Geos Sdn Bhd is an established Malaysian company that provides geotechnical investigation and engineering, hydrographic and geophysical surveys to support the local and international oil & gas and marine-related industries. To compete on a global basis and provide an increased level of service depth within the local and regional markets particularly in deep-water, AG has teamed up with the Gardline Group, United Kingdom a world leading marine service provider specializing in geophysical, hydrographic, environmental, oceanographic and geotechnical surveys.

This had led to the formation of a larger Asian Geos (AG) Group of companies based in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta. The association with Gardline also provides AG Group with an immediate platform to further accelerate its growth in offshore hydrographic and geophysical survey capabilities.


DATA PROCESSOR (OFFICE BASE)
JOB DESCRIPTION
The job
  • To provide survey data at project commencement to Party Chiefs and ensure survey parameters are correctly defined.
  • To check survey data received from the field and perform quality control of acquired geophysical data.
  • To determine and processing or drafting for set up a processing plan for assigned projects.
  • To carry out processing and reporting work for assigned project and liaison with office base data processors, interpretation and clients in the production of contour files, seafloor rendering and other visual data products for final reporting.
  • Responsible for correct processing of survey data and for correct technical data.
The Person
  • Diploma/ Degree in Geomatic Engineering, Geophysics or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years working experiences preferably in relevant offshore survey industry. Fresh graduates with minimum 1 year related experience is also encouraged to apply.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) and good working knowledge of computerized geological software (CAD, PROMAX, MBES, GIS, etc)
  • Proactive, self-motivated, independent, ability to perform multi-tasking and with minimum supervision in fast pace environment and teamwork.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with good English spoken and written skills

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Person
  • Minimum degree in Marine Science or Environmental Science related subject.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in writing EIAs for the Malaysian Department of Environment (DoE).
  • DoE-registered as either Consultant or Assistant Consultant.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Work well under pressure and to deadlines, with an ability to use initiative and assertiveness within remit set by Line Manager.
  • Must be willing to work at sea for up to 8 weeks at a time
The Job
  • Play a key role in the business development and marketing of Asian Geos&; Environmental Department.
  • Build effective client relationships as well as carrying out client visits and formal presentations.
  • Assessment, preparation and submission of tenders and subsequent follow-up action.
  • At sea, carry out daily survey operations proficiently and safely, without disturbing, damaging or contaminating samples.
