Responsibilities:

§  To secure sales for Oil and Gas Department (OGD) and assisting the Head to provide full commercial, business contracts and other related technical services in the area of ‘Non Destructive Testing and Failure Analysis’ on current and future projects to ensure that contractual and financial obligations are fulfilled by clients as well as outsourced business partners.
§  Accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans; implementing sales plans; to achieve OGD’s income target.
§  Initiate the appropriate action towards prompt response to major clients’ enquiries and other lead information.
§  Initiate and lead in development of strategic networking with other organizations for potential business opportunities.
§  Plan and lead the execution of after sales-service to ensure highly satisfaction of clients, client's retention, and growth of market share and business expansion.
§  Implement OSHE for quality and productive services.
§  Plan, organize and participate in developing an annual integrated marketing plan for OGD, which details strategies and plans of action to achieve marketing objectives, thus achieve commercial income target as stipulated in Approved Business Plan and Budget.
§  Plan, organize and participate in the formulation and development of new and value added packages to market existing and new potential markets.

§  Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
§  Plans and leads in such campaigns and promotion; included in such programmes as exhibitions and expositions, road shows, cyber marketing and advertising and promotion projects for the successful implementation of the marketing plan.
§  Assist to develop strategies, objectives, plans, budgets and control systems of marketing / sales / business development & monitoring activities to achieve overall business objectives and ensure maximum performance of the department to the agreed target setting.
§  Participate in giving inputs for the formulation of the overall commercial plan to oversee the development of innovative commercial business solutions in line with corporate financial targets and requirements.
§  Acquire competency in specified areas of public relations, communications and negotiations related to technical services areas.
§  Keep abreast with technology trends and develop effective strategies to promote technology transfer and dissemination services.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Science, Physics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business or Marketing with 6 - 10 years working experience in Non Destructive Testing / Failure Analysis and management.
  • Performance driven, self-motivated, and pleasant attitude
  • Possess good command of written & spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge & exposure to ISO 9000 standards and test & measurement industry is an added advantage.

MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL, AUDIO VISUAL, TELECOMMUNICATION, INSPECTION AND COMPLIANCE, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT CENTRE, TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION BASED IN SHAH ALAM

Responsibilities:

*    Responsible for the overall performance of the business operations of the Section in relation to the project handling jobs as well as maintenance activities on Mechanical and Electrical, Audio Visual and Telecommunication systems as well as activities related to Compliance to applicable Acts/Law/By-Laws.
*    Managing and continuously improve the technical services provided to the user departments within SIRIM Berhad (including its Subsidiaries) in the maintenance, repairs, administration activities and complementary upgrading of existing building services according to approved quality standards, time frames and costs levels so as to support the company in creating, providing and sustaining especially a productive, safe, smart and cost effective facilities.
*    To ensure all approved chargeable services rendered in respect to Mechanical and Electrical, Audio Visual and Telecommunication  are being invoiced to respective  SBU’s/Centres/ Subsidiaries
*    To mobilize team to realize the saving of at least 5% from annual maintenance allocation
*    Oversees the utilisation of CAPEX and OPEX allocated to Section by ensuring prudent expenditure and within the approved amount.
*    To provide tactical and technical expertise towards the achievement of cost saving initiatives for SIRIM Berhad in respect to Utilities, Mechanical and Electrical, Audio Visual and Telecommunication maintenance services.
*    To lead the team to achieve CSI as per Quality Management System Objectives for the year as set by SIRIM Berhad Management
*    Provide supervision & technical oversight to ensure the team provide prompt service and to response request through fax/e mail/phone within 1 working day or in accordance SLA/service contract.
*    To lead the team efforts to retain/maintain current excellent customers by upgrading the level of building services through regular scheduled maintenance & regular meetings and discussions etc. 
*    To lead initiatives towards preventive maintenance in minimizing Mechanical and Electrical, Audio Visual and Telecommunication  system breakdown
*    To lead the team to fully comply with the requirements of By-Laws / Acts with respect to maintenance and Inspections of crane, lift, electrical system (Factory & Machinery Act (FMA) 1967 and Electrical Supply Act (JBE)  1994.
*    To lead the team to standardise operational excellence in service delivery and activities towards achieving Internal Services Standards (ISS) as per Quality Management System Objectives for the year as set by SIRIM Berhad Management and 100% of Corporate Governance Compliance (CGC).
*    To lead the team to optimize utilisation of resources and to provide efficient service through achieving >75% delivery on time (DoT) for scheduled M&E, Audio Visual & Telecommunications  services/ maintenance and project (renovation /upgrading/refurbishment) under handling.
*    To drive the Business improvement process for operational excellence
*    Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement to reach their full potential.
*    Support SIRIM's Transformation Programme by implementing Group initiatives in alignment with SIRIM strategic intent to enhance culture of innovation & inculcate shared values.
*    Responsible in ensuring each employee completes the action plan as identify in CGA  so as adequate number of competent employee are available in the organisation / section
*    Review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement to ensure delivery of organisation's objectives & annual target. 
*    Develop action plan to identify new competencies & also minimize competency gaps among employee within timeframe and budget to ensure adequate number of competent employee to provide effective/efficient services & deployable according to business priorities.
*    Responsible in knowledge sharing / transfer activities post to enhance internal capability in new subject matter. 
*    Responsible for the successful implementation of coaching and mentoring at section/ department level  

Requirements:
*    Possess Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Candidate with postgraduate /professional qualifications will have an added advantage.
*    Minimum 9 years’ experience in related field.
*    Knowledgeable in SIRIM Group’s business and operational activities.
*    Good communication and negotiation skills.
*    Highly motivated and very good in taking initiative.
*    Possess interpersonal and influencing skills to build the appropriate level of rapport with 
    management and staff.
