The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), part of the Economic Transformation Programme, is owned by the Government of Malaysia through MRT Corporation that is 100% under the Ministry of Finance Incorporated. MMC GAMUDA KVMRT (T) SDN BHD was awarded to design and construct the underground works of MRT, as it was the best candidate given its extensive tunnelling technology and local expertise.

1.LV Chargeman 
Company  :  MMC GAMUDA KVMRT (T) SDN BHD
Reporting  :  Plant Manager
Department  :  Plant and M&E

Job Purpose:

 Support PAT exercise by the SHE department
 Support the monthly CEE inspection on all UG electrical installation
 To supervise and organize works of subcontractors and other site works
 To prepare daily site records and reports.
 To liaise with consultants on the day to day inspection on site
 To sort out discrepancies and other detailing problems in the constructions work with the
consultants and superiors
 Maintain work harmony on site by close supervision and guidance of subordinated, includes control
in disciplinary matters and handling grievances
 Arranges and supervising of work activities and checking of works to ensure high quality standards
are achieved
 To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety, health & environment related to
the job scope and workplace as required by the company
 Any other job duties that may be assigned form time to time by the Department head.


Requirements:
 Registered ST  LV Chargeman with minimum Grade A4
 More than 5 years of relevant working experience

2.Commercial Manager

Reporting  :  Senior Manager

Job Purpose:

 To lead a group of  Quantity Surveyor
 To monitor the sub-contractor performance
 To control costing and budgeting
 Liaison with sub-contractor pertaining to contractual issues
 Preparation of BQ
 Establishment of unit rates and cost estimates
 Pre selection of subcontractor and supplies
 Prepare enquiries for material, labor and plant quotations
 Site visit and reports.
 Liaison with clients, external consultant and government representatives.
 Provide in house training for QS
 Provide assistance to Business Development Unit in the preparation, compilation and submission of
business proposal.
 Provide quantity surveying and estimating service to associate companies
 To ensure all Quantity Surveyor staff in the group/division are knowledgeable in ISO procedures
 To provide assistance to update department operation and ISO procedure
 To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety and health and environment
related to the job scope and workplace as required by the company.

Requirements:
 Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Quantity Surveying
 Minimum  8 years of relevant working experience in Costing/ tender & Budget/ Quantity Surveying
 Good leadership and communication skills
 Able to work independently
 Fast phased and energetic

3.Interfaces Engineers (UGW)

Reporting  :  Interfaces Manager (UGW)
Department  :  Engineering Department

Job Purpose:
To assist the Interfaces Manager (UGW) to accomplish the both internal and external Interfaces
activities of Underground Works Contract on time and in acceptable quality manner.

Accountabilities
 To develop the interfacing strategy and planning for completing the  interfaces activities of the UGW
in satisfying the company interest and the client of the Project
 To coordinate with M&E and C&S colleagues to ensure the interfaces requirements of UGW  are
captured and defined
 To coordinate detailed design consultants (DDC ) to ensure those defined interfaces requirement of
UGW are fully incorporated into the designs of UGW
 To ensure the deliverables of interfaces from DDC and Sub contractors meeting the Contracts
requirement and standard
 To ensure the interface requirements are tracked and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
 To ensure the interface requirements are fully decomposed and tracked for validation
 To perform impact analysis for the interface requirement and design change and advise to the
impact analysis for the changes to the management for decision making.
 To assist in interface resolution process to ensure that all interface conflict will be addressed and
resolved
 To manage the sub-contractors for timely implementation and verification of the interfaces
requirement and designs on site during the construction and testing and commissioning stages
 To attend the interface meetings with interface works package contractors and designated interface
contractor/suppliers
 To produce Interface Management Plans and Interface Control Documents for each of the external
interfaces
 To develops the interface management programme for UGW to ensure that those necessary
interfaces activities can be accomplished in timely manner throughout the project lifecycle
 To support in final system which are being managed by PDP to ensure that all interfaces
requirements are fully and successfully validated for revenue operation.
 Be a focal point with interface works package contractors and designated interface contractors/
supplier




Requirements:
 Degree in  Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
 Minimum 6 years working experience in E&M or railway system design, interface engineering,
system engineering or software engineering in a multi-disciplinary environment.
 Excellent in written and communication skills
 Understanding of lifecycle system principle, system and safety assurance, quality assurance, EMC
management, software management and configuration management.
 Familiar with primavera version 6 and Microsoft project

4.Planner

and E&M works.

5.Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Purpose:

 To check of measurement quantities
 To form bills of quantities
 To assist in preparing enquiries for material, labor and plant quotations
 To assist in preparation of preliminary cost estimate
 To prepare unit rate built-up
 To prepare monthly progressive valuation and certification
 To file, maintain and upgrade department library.
 To assist in preparation of anticipated final project budget report.
 Monthly payment progress payment valuation and recommendation
 Assist in Flex Budget Monitoring

Requirements:
 Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Project Management/Construction Management
 5 years of relevant working experience
 Strong in measurement
