Malakoff Berhad

Malakoff Berhad was incorporated on 9 October 1975 as a plantation-based company. It was listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (currently known as Bursa Malaysia) in 1976. A shift in its corporate direction resulted in the disposal of its plantation-based assets in October 1993 and the subsequent venture into the power sector.

In 2007, Malakoff Berhad was taken private by MMC Corporation Berhad and subsequently known today as Malakoff Corporation Berhad (MCB).

At present, Malakoff is the leading IPP in Malaysia with an effective capacity of 5,020 MW comprising of 6 power stations. Malakoff now holds 22.5% of market share for the installed generation capacity in Peninsular Malaysia. Having established its premier position in the Malaysian domestic power generation sector, Malakoff is embarking on overseas expansion. In the international scene, Malakoff has interest in projects located in Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Oman and Bahrain.

Job Descriptions: 
 To provide in-house secretarial services in managing and administering secretarial
practices and corporate secretarial requirements in accordance with the applicable
rules and regulations 
 To assist in the preparation of circular resolutions, announcements, minutes of
meetings, and other corporate secretarial documents 
 To assist in the preparation or pre and post Board of Directors’ and Board
Committees meeting, Annual General Meeting and internal management meetings 
 To correspond with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia and other relevant authorities in
connection with company secretarial matters 
 To ensure proper maintenance of all secretarial documents
 To be able to handle basic secretarial duties with minimum supervision
 To attend others ad-hoc assignment as and when required 

 Pursuing ICSA, ICSA graduate, preferably as associate member of MAICSA
 At least 3 - 7 year(s) of relevant working experience, preferably experience in a 
supervisory capacity in public listed company
 Familiar with the Companies Act, Listing Requirements and other statutory 
 Service oriented, responsible, well-organized, meticulous, able to work under 
pressure and work independently in a fast-paced working environment
 Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Word will be prerequisite
 Good command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or 
Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage
 Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status
