Master Mariner





  • Hold valid certificate of competency with STCW 95 endorsement (WKO – Deck para 2)
  • Master (> 3000 GT) unlimited.
  • Preferably with twelve (12) months sea service experienced as a Master on LNG ( membrane and moss )
  • Medically Fit (Medical Certificate still valid) with no medical history or any serious medical.
  • All required STCW certs valid (as per Malaysia Flag standard)

Chief Officer - LNG

Executive, Legal (Deadline: 10 August 2014)
(Kuala Lumpur)
The Job: 
  • Assist in the areas of litigation and debt recovery. Compile, evaluate and make recommendations on the merit of group’s debts for superior’s review and decisions on the prospect of recovery via legal proceedings or non-litigious means, i.e. settlement out of court.

  • Assist in the preparation of supporting legal documents pertaining to joint ventures, merges and acquisitions, projects undertaken by MISC Group of companies both internationally and domestically. Example: Confidentiality Agreement, Power of Attorneys, Letter of Undertakings, Performance Guarantees.

  • Assist in providing legal services for group on land matters pertaining to the purchase, sale, tenancy and lease of properties. Drafting of Sale and Purchase, tenancy, legal agreements. Together with the Properties Dept., negotiate with the concerned parties i.e. landowners, tenants, lessor/lessee etc. for the best interest of the group.

  • Assist in providing legal services for the group procurement of general services such as Depot, maintenance, warehousing, vehicle leasing, etc.

  • Responsible to gather and analyse legal data to be used by superior when drafting legal documents and advising legal implications pertaining to the group activities in joint venture, mergers, acquisition exercises and special projects
The Person:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Laws or equivalent.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Law/Legal Services or equivalent.

Manager Compliance (Deadline: 16 August 2014)
(Kuala Lumpur)
The Job: 
  • Manage implementation of Compliance and Corporate Governance policies and procedures for MISC Group.
  • Monitor the establishment and implementation of corporate integrity systems and processes within the Group.
  • Governance reviews and relevant due diligence reviews to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate governance processes applicable to all employees in the Focus Areas.
  • Conduct research into new emerging issues and best practices in ethical norms, formulate policies and procedures in relation to the foregoing.
  • Plan and implement Awareness and Training Sessions for employees of the Group and for third parties, e.g. vendors, to promote compliance with applicable MISC governance and code of conduct practices.
The Person:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Laws or equivalent.
  • At least 8 year(s) of working experience specializing in Compliance/Law/Legal Services or equivalent.

Manager, Contractor Contract Management (Deadline: 3 August 2014)
(Kuala Lumpur)
The Job: 
  • Collaborate with respective stakeholders to strategize and establish the Subcontractor Contracts Management Plan, Strategy and Process when initiating, developing, evaluating and negotiating for new building and conversions, OIC and procurement terms and conditions in pursuing the execution of projects and its associated works.

  • Lead and manage Contracts formulation between OBU and Subcontractors that include Scope of Work, Specifications, Pricings and other related documents in consultation with the respective stakeholders whilst ensuring MISC's interest is safeguard.

  • Lead OBU's Operation negotiation teams to negotiate with contractors on the contractual terms and conditions matters.

  • Lead, guide, manage and advice the stakeholders with respect to the implementation of the contract terms including managing of change as provided by the contract.

  • Lead, strategize and manage claims and disputes in order to reach an amicable settlement between the parties.
The Person:
  • Degree in Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Law or other equivalent professional qualification.
  • 12 years working experience, with 5 years in construction related tenders and contract management/negotiations.
  • An exposure in the oil and gas or maritime industry is and added advantage.
