Finance Manager

Job Summary:

Reporting to Group Executive Director, the incumbent is required to play a “business partnering” by providing commercial financial leadership and inputs. The incumbent will support various business decision-making and analysis of key performance indicators, including the development of long-term strategic growth plan for assigned companies.  This position also will oversee the Accounting operations, providing the leadership to the team, ensuring compliance to standards and law.
Job Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the business results by advising the leadership team, raisee financial awareness and foster collaboration among the team
  • Proactively lead annual Profit Plan & Forecasting process and ensure all key parameters of the financial planning & forecasting such as sales, profitability, working capital, marketing investment are accurately assessed.
  • Review of performance – planned vs forecast forecast to ensure a realistic and achievable forecast, no over-spending of budget, and that operating profit are in-line with the approved Plan, and to review all aspect of risk opportunities, e.g., sales, gross margin, expenses, operating profit etc
  • Prepare financial justifications for capital expenditures. Prepare financial assessments/analysis in support of post investment reviews.
  • Evaluate and screen feasibility study on Joint Ventures arrangements,  Assets Lease vs. Buy for its justification on the return of investment before final approval own recommendation of actions to take  for  final decision
  • Manages and controls all treasury activities of the company through delegating to the Finance Manager to handle the daily treasury operations; monitors and controls the implementation.
  • Oversee local credit control and payable functions and review the receivable ageing/days sales outstanding and payable days reports.
  • Ensure compliances to tax and other accounting requirements, handles auditing process
  • To manage and control overall finance, accounting, and tax functions of the company in order to ensure
  • Valid, correct, updated, and timely reports are presented in compliance with local statutory requirements, local management requirements,
  • Adequate financial resources are available to support  operations in attaining operating profit through maximizing return on investment, or minimization on cost of fund,
  • Correct and on time payment of all tax liabilities in accordance with the local tax law and in minimization of tax exposures,
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting
  • Professional membership an advantage – CPA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Minimum of 6 years of financial planning, analysis and/ accounting operations experience in any industries
Key Skills & Experiences Qualities :
  • Financial planning; analysis, budgeting, reporting and financial modeling. Understanding and application of P&L, balance sheets and related financial statements
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management experience. Proficient in interpreting financial results and business indicators to identify and analyze trends
  • Strong desktop computer skills and Accounting/ financial systems
  • Although decisions are financial in nature, there needs to be a good operational understanding
Key Interpersonal & Intellectual Qualities :
  • Self starter and driven;
  • Demonstrated business partnering, consulting and negotiation skills
  • Although decisions are financial in nature, there needs to be a good operational understanding
  • Modest.

Finance/Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities:
A Candidate who possess Finance/Accounts experience preferably in the Oil & Gas industry. The roles and responsibilities of the job are below: 
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management account, preparation of annual balance sheets & income statements
  • Regular interface with Principals and clients offices to ensure that issues related to billing are resolve promptly
  • To perform any other duties related to accounting /finance matters
  • To visit clients payable and/or Procurement Dept. to resolve issues related to payment documentation
Requirements: 
  • Diploma in Accounting from a recognized institution
  • Possess minimum 2 years working experience
  • Well verse in the Payable & Receivable process
  • Able to work under minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Possess own transport
Compensation will commensurate with qualification and experiences.
